Sound Shares Local/Community Currency Workshop

When: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Where: The Buttonwood Tree, 605 Main Street, Middletown, CT

Fed up with Wall Street and Corporate Banks? Want to stop complaining and actually create something fundamentally new to solve the problems with money? Communities are re-discovering the real meaning of money as tribal credit by creating their own credit networks for trade. Come learn about and become a member of this free service being offered in Connecticut by the Connecticut Sound Shares Exchange. This workshop is being offered to help people understand this amazing and free tool for community building, and for addressing money and unemployment issues locally by creating a gift economy.

The workshop will be run by Justin Good (Executive Director, The Sanctuary at Shepardfields) and Michael Harris (president of the Earth Charter promoting the Sound Shares System).

The briefing papers on the left side of the website offer a good introduction to the system. Click the link below for additional information.
