About Eccolov
We hope you find what you are seeking here, and to help you here are a few details.
Eccolov is a non-profit “gathering of neighbors” who come together, united by the hope-filled vision of the Earth Charter, to talk and learn and work individually or collectively for its basic principles for building a sustainable world society based on respect for one another and for the entire community of life. Thoughtful films and speakers punctuate our second Sunday monthly meetings, from 2 to 4 pm.
We call The Sanctuary at 59 Bogel Road in East Haddam, home, meeting in the Yurt in the lovely grounds of this 40-acre spiritual life and ecological education center. During the winter months meetings are held the East Haddam Grange, across the street from the big white Congregational church, at 499 Town Street.
Our efforts focus on speakers, films, and discussions and activities relating to the Earth Charter values, and how we can integrate them into our own lives. We are collectively and individually involved in a variety of projects and activities throughout the region. Our own main program each year, in addition to monthly meetings, is an annual Summit. Similar events are offered in communities throughout the globe; major programs intended to familiarize friends and neighbors with the promise of the Earth Charter.
So please take this as your invitation to contact us or join us at an event. We hold the space for passionate, active folks to live the values of the Earth Charter and make an impact toward creating a more sustainable world now. For more information, please contact us. We look forward to meeting you.
