2009

Here we are, off to another active and hopefully informative and inspiring New Year! So BE REMINDED: For the winter months our monthly meetings will be at THE GRANGE HALL, Moodus, across the street from the UCC church, which is 499 Town Street. All meetings start at 2:00 pm.

Sunday January 11th:

Heidi Green will be talking to us. She is president of 1000 Friends of Connecticut, a statewide organization whose mission is to promote and shape growth to ensure a prosperous economy, a healthy natural environment, and distinctive, integrated and attractive communities, while promoting opportunities in education, housing, transportation, and employment for ourselves and future generations. That’s a big mouthful, but it translates into what many of us are concerned about today in our home towns - how to keep a balance between old and new, green and un-green, good growth and sprawl, lower/higher taxes, and on and on. This would be a great meeting for any of you involved or interested in your town at any level.

Sunday February 8th:
George Fellner and green energy design for homes, incl. geothermal.

Sunday March 8th:
