Our annual Summit is our principal yearly event. This is often the moment when communities throughout the globe present a major program to familiarize our friends and neighbors about the work of the Earth Charter.
This year our summit event was on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Gelston House in East Haddam. It was a gala affair featuring a keynote address by James Howard Kunstler, delicious appetizers, a cash bar and a panel discussion about the Transition Town initiative.
James Howard Kunstler is the author of, 'The Long Emergency', 'Geography of Nowhere', 'World Made by Hand', and several other books. He is a leading expert on peak oil and its ramifications to our society.
